Incredible gold lame long opera gloves by renowned French couture house Jacques Fath.
They have small metal zips on the wrists (measure 11.5cm / 4.5″) and sewn-in labels.
Best for a Large hand, approx size UK7.
Measure 3.5″/9cm across the hand above thumb.
Very long at 20″ / 51 cm from base of thumb.
Most likely dating from the 1950s and although incredible pieces of original couture art, they are not without issues: the metallic thread is discoloured in places and there is minor fraying throughout. However, they are showstoppers and this would be unlikely to be noticed in low lighting!
Prices accordingly.
Structurally sound, I have not found any rips or tears to the stitching itself.
