Nalbinding Finger-less gloves made to fit a small to medium adult’s hand.
Hand dyed with Woad (Blue) and Brazilwood (Dull Purple) from my own plants.
Nalbinding has been around for many 1000’s of years, the earliest has been found in Turkey dating to 7500BC.These have been stitched at a Roman Villa.
The stitch used is York, which has been found on the Viking Coppergate sock in York. This is on display at the Yorvik Museum in York.
100% wool has been used.
Please note – although this is listed as purple it is a dull pinky purple colour for the body of the glove.
